Cindy looked at her beautiful red Valentines' dress and the silver sparkling shoes. She was excited about her date with Jeff. She knew this was going to be a night she would remember. She thought this would be the night Jeff would pop the question and she wanted everything to be perfect. Cindy went to the beauty salon to have her hair washed and styled. While she was there she decided to get a pedicure and a manicure. When Cindy left the salon it was 5:00pm she could not believe how the time had slipped away. She stopped by a fast food restaurant to get a bite to eat. She arrived home around 6:30pm. She decided to take a nap before preparing for her date.
Jeff arrived promptly at 8:00pm. Cindy took her time answering the door. She opened the door with her big warm smile beckoning for Jeff to come in. He looked chic with his black suit and well polished shoes to match. His eyes grew wide when he took one look at Cindy. He began to express how beautiful she looked. She was basking in his compliments. She then told him how handsome he looked. Cindy told Jeff to have a seat. She went to get her shawl from her bedroom. Five minutes later they left to start their date. "I have a lovely night planned for us," said Jeff. "I know that I will never forget it," said Cindy with her big glowing smile. "Cindy, your smile always lights up the darkest corners of my heart." "Oh Jeff, you are too much," said Cindy. They soon arrived at the La Cheauta. Jeff stepped out of his car and walked to the passenger side and opened the car door for Cindy. Then he handed his keys to the valet. "Have a great time," said the valet. "Thank you," the two replied. They walked in and greeted the host. The host had a waiter to seat them. Cindy decided to powder her nose. When she stepped away from the table Jeff hurried back to the front. He told the host this was a very special Valentine’s night. He went on to share with the host that he and his girl had dated for five years and he was going to propose tonight. Jeff gave the host the ring and told him exactly where to place it. Jeff made his way back to his table just in time to meet Cindy. "Is everything ok Jeff?” asked Cindy. "Yes," replied Jeff. They looked over the menu trying to decide what to order. The waiter came to the table carrying a bottle and two glasses of bubbling champagne. The waiter placed the glasses on the table and then the bottle. "Have you all decided what you would like to order?”asked the waiter. Cindy never took her eyes off the menu. "Please give us five minutes," said Jeff. The waiter walked away.
