Over the years, I have written a lot of non-fiction for Wired, Soldier of Fortune, Reason, LA Times, Mondo 2000, etc. (Just Google ["sandy sandfort"] if you are curious. BTW, I am NOT the Dutch sex researcher.) Now, I am trying my hand at fiction. I write the stories from which the online comic strip, ESCAPE FROM TERRA, is adapted. http://bigheadpress.com/eft?page=1 The first collection of strips comes out on July 7, 2010. Also, ADVENTURES IN HUMAN SPACE, the first collection of the stories from which the strip is adapted will be out in June, 2010. I think THE RESURRECTIONS OF ROBERT A. HEINLEIN: GENESIS, is the best thing I ever wrote (but all the other stuff is pretty good too). I have lived around--Kansas City, Flagstaff, San Francisco, Costa Rica, Singapore and now Panama, where I live in a volcano. I have visited a number of interesting places in the world. The least known of which is Funafuti the capital of the island nation of Tuvalu.

Steve Simons is primarily a writer of Science Fiction, aimed at a FAMILY audience, although he has turned his hand (or should that be wordprocessor) to other forms of story. Steve started using his creative imagination as a child, entertaining groups of children in the neighbourhood. Many was the time that the children would get into trouble for getting back home later than heir normal "get in by" time, as they got engrossed in one of Steve's stories. Breifly, Steve put his pen to work, writing short stories for the entertainment of family and freinds, but nothing serious came of that. Then in later life, Steve took up the pen again and started writing scripts and short stories for a children's podshow called KidsCastUK. This grew into two shows, one specialising in Science Fiction and Steve took key writer role on that show. Encouraged to do even more, Steve wrote his first book "The Sphere of Time", this grew to become a 3 book series TSOT 1 -3.

I was born In Hull, Yorkshire, England in 1956. I started to write at the age of 44 in the year 2000, and I wasn't very good. I slowly learned over the years that followed, mainly from people online who gave up their time to help me. I chose to write imaginative things, and sometimes allowed my own imagination to get away from me. I started with erotic tales before going onto more serious stuff, although having said that my erotic stories have been popular. The first book I got published was "The Second Apprentice" followed closely by "The Talking Sword" both of which are sword and sorcerer type tales. My favorite release though was "Hell's Gate" but none of these three books have been downloaded yet and they're all available at Amazon. They just seem to want my erotic stories. lol I now live in America and have done for the past 5 years. As you can see from my photo I'm happily married and intend to stay that way. Carl

Born in "South Buffalo", I began reading science fiction at a young age. Clarke's "The City and the Stars" introduced me to the concepts of deep time and super computers at 11 in the Ripley Central School Library; an original edition with period art on the cover. Continuing with as many of the golden era Science fiction authors as I could find, I read on up to college where in my first semester I set aside dreams of a Sci-fi career for more practical pursuits in Architecture, Education, and Finance. I continued writing, however-all too often watching my ideas and visions actualized by others of a similar bent-just as Thoreau said such would be. With the advent of current technologies in animation, word processing, and the internet the circle is complete and Chronos Productions is launched. Mankind is at a great crossroads. Like the Chinese who burned their great treasure ships rather than engage the world, we can turn our backs on a vigorous program of space settlement. Or like the Europeans of the same era we can step forward to new worlds and watch the standards of living and quality of human life reach unimagined potentials.

Author bio:
I've been writing for many years and only recently started putting my books out there as free e-books. I've got a whole bunch of them; most are short novels, usually around 20,000 words. I tend to write fast and make everything up as I go along, so the stories often change radically from day to day, and sometimes end up far from where I thought they would go. The joy of writing, for me, is in the adventure of improvisation. Most of my books have elements of science fiction, mystery, satire, suspense, supernatural and more, but I just think of them as stories. 'Renegade Robot' is my newest story. It's a light-hearted comic take on the myth of the 'Singularity', that event after which "nothing will ever be the same again". In these days of constant, well-funded hysteria, how could we distinguish a real Singularity (if and when it comes) from any other panicky 'headline of the day'? In 'Renegade Robot', our hero is a "robot exterminator", stamping out minor infestations of nuisance rogue robots, who gets caught up in a frantic news cycle. Q: Why did you go indie? Indie e-books on the internet are a dream come true for me. I've never been interested in publishing for money, but always wanted to share my stories. I've also been inspired by the open-source software movement, and by the talented local musicians in my neighborhood who love to play together and just have a great time. I've always wished that art and culture would be more about sharing and community, and less about grabbing every penny you can find. It's just the way I feel about it. Q: Who are your favorite authors in your genre? I'm mostly partial to madly inventive innovators, humorists, absurdists and satirists of all ages, including Jorge Luis Borges, Philip K Dick, Stanislaw Lem, Kurt Vonnegut, Mark Twain, Italo Calvino, Franz Kafka, Julio Cortazar, Eugene Ionesco, Luis Bunuel, and Macedonio Fernandez.

I've been writing stories almost since I was able to pick up a jumbo crayon and put words on paper. I love what I do and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to share these tales with my readers. My work is typically classified as young adult literature, if only because the stories are clean and most of the characters are young. There's more to it than that, though. Every book I've ever personally loved has been what I'd call ageless. That is, it contains something that can touch the heart of a child while he's still too young and raw to appreciate subtlety, but there's also something in it that he can still feed on when he's old and gray, although perhaps not the same things. It's my aspiration to write stories like that. In fact, the majority of my readers are adults who want to read something that will uplift them and make them feel glad to be alive that day. We all need beautiful stories, and without them we suffer. If you'd like to know more about me or my work, please visit my official author's website at www.williamwoodall.org

Rolland Love’s ability to paint this landscape in clear, crisp detail stems from his time spent with the "solitude of the streams, deep hollows and blue-hazed vistas" over the course of his life. His deep-rooted passion for the Ozarks has transfigured his MARK TWAIN writing style into a series of fantastic tales Huck and Tom could have only dreamed of about." The Ozark Mountains Stories Series is Enjoyed by All Ages. Rolland is a speaker, award-winning author and performer. He teaches writing, storytelling, journaling and Lewis and Clark workshops for Kids and a workshop for Senior Adults about why it is important that they write their life story.
